What do Canadians want to see in a new electoral system?

Following the October election, the Broadbent Institute commissioned a landmark survey to measure Canadians’ attitudes about voting system design and preference for electoral reform. The research, conducted by Abacus Data, is the first study of its kind and size.

The federal government repeated in its Speech from the Throne the Liberal's election commitment that the 2019 federal election would not be held under the current First-Past-the-Post system.
