Angella MacEwen is a Senior Economist with the Canadian Labour Congress. She has an undergraduate degree in International Development Studies from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, and a Masters in Economics from Dalhousie University. Her MA thesis examined social and economic determinants of unmet health care needs using data from the Canadian Community Health Survey.
Angella has co-authored Cost of Poverty studies for the three Maritime provinces, and has been involved in several Alternative Budgets with the CCPA. She blogs on labour market issues, poverty, and inequality at the Progressive Economics Forum. Angella was born and raised in rural Saskatchewan
