Rinaldo’s research and publication record focuses on Black cultural politics; histories of colonialism in the Americas, multiculturalism, citizenship, and diaspora; gender and sexuality; and social and public policy. He is the author of Black Like Who: Writing Black Canada (1997/2003); Editor of Rude: Contemporary Black Canadian Cultural Criticism (2000); and Co-editor with Roy Moodley of Counseling Across and Beyond Cultures: Exploring The Work of Clemment E. Vontress in Clinical Practice (2010). Additionally he has written numerous essays and commentaries on a range of cultural and political issues pertaining to contemporary life.
