Off the Sidelines: Elected women. And the women who get them elected.

The Broadbent Institute and Frontrunner proudly presented New York State’s youngest assembly member Nily Rozic and her campaign manager Sally Frank in Vancouver. These two progressive, dynamic young leaders in government shared their experiences about what it takes to run - and win - a state assembly seat in New York City.

About the Instructor/Host

Assemblywoman Nily Rozic represents New York’s 25th District, which spans the northeast portion of Queens, NY. Upon her election in 2012, Assemblywoman Rozic became the youngest woman in the state legislature and the first woman ever to represent the 25th District. She's a graduate of New York University.

Sally Frank is a policy analyst in the New York CIty Comptroller's Office, with a focus on labour, food and women's issues. Previously, she served in a variety of legislative and intergovernmental roles in local government. In 2012, she was the campaign manager for Nily Rozic's victorious campaign for New York State Assembly.
