Dr. Danyaal Raza
Assistant Professor, Department of Family & Community Medicine, University of Toronto Family Physician, St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto.

Danyaal Raza is a physician, health care reformer and academic. His work as a health advocate focuses on work & wealth, access to medications, and public-private health care. He is past Chair of Canadian Doctors for Medicare, the founding physician lead of the Sumac Creek Health Centre in Toronto’s Regent Park, and a member of the Decent Work & Health Network.

Danyaal is a graduate of Harvard University's Masters of Public Health program, and former Fellow in Global Health at the University of Toronto’s Department of Family & Community Medicine. He is a recipient of the Western University School of Medicine & Dentistry Dean's Distinguished Lecture, and was named to The Medical Post’s 2021 ‘Power List’ as an influential physician voice in Canadian health policy. In addition to academic publications, Dr. Raza’s writing and analysis appear in print and broadcast media.
