Kapil Khatter is a practicing family physician and public health policy expert, a part-time faculty member at the University of Ottawa and associate editor at Open Medicine.

Honoured with the 2011 Nicole Bruinsma Memorial Award for Environmental Leadership and the 2011 College of Family Physicians of Canada Environmental Health Award, he has represented Canada in international environmental negotiations, been a chemical policy consultant to the federal government, and worked and volunteered for a number of environmental organizations.

Dr. Khatter is fluent in English and French, a medical graduate of McGill University and has a Masters degree in Environmental Studies from York University.
