Ashley combines effective training, thoughtful management, and a wealth of experience in grassroots organizing to help others unlock their potential to shine and change the world.

Since January 2013, Ashley has been the National Training Director at Organizing for Action, a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting a progressive national agenda. At OFA, Ashley oversees a training program that equips volunteers across the United States with the skills they need to win issue campaigns (including advanced strategic planning, press outreach and digital organizing), brings talented new organizers into the progressive movement, and nurtures the skills of leaders already working in the progressive world.

Prior to joining the Organizing for Action team, Ashley spent four years organizing in support of President Obama in a number of capacities: as an Organizing Fellow and Field Organizer on his 2008 campaign, as a Regional Field Director focused on passing health care reform in 2009, as a Field Director focused on reelecting his allies in the 2010 midterm election, and as Florida’s Training Director for his reelection campaign in 2011 and 2012.

Ashley lives in Chicago and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, her bicycle, and her dog, Steve.
