Opreet Kang is passionate about social change that will better engage under-represented citizens in the political process. A well-regarded community leader with over twenty years experience in community and political advocacy work and volunteerism, Opreet is committed to projects and movements that connect communities and environmental sustainability, and that disrupt the status quo. In the last 10 years, she has been involved in numerous political campaigns at the local, provincial, federal levels.
She has been on the Board of Directors of numerous organizations, including The McCreary Centre Society, VIBC, and Vision Vancouver, and she is currently on the Board of the Fraser Health Authority. Opreet is the Director, Industry Innovation at Forestry Innovation Investment, where she oversees programming and investments in advanced wood building systems.
Opreet lives with her family in Delta, British Columbia.
