Dave McGrane is an Associate Professor of Political Studies at St. Thomas More College and the University of Saskatchewan. He has written extensively on the NDP and Canadian social democracy. While his past work concentrated on provincial public policy, his recent research examines the campaign strategy and marketing of the federal NDP as well as analyzing reasons that voters support certain parties over others during provincial and federal elections in Canada.   

Dr. McGrane is active in his community as a member of the City of Saskatoon’s Environmental Advisory Committee, Chair of the Political Action Committee of the Saskatoon & District Labour Council, and President of the Saskatchewan NDP. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Douglas-Coldwell Foundation.
