Four Months of Kenney's Alberta

 

 

Jason Kenney has been Premier of Alberta for just four months and already his UCP government has taken an axe to many of the things that matter most to Albertans. Since being sworn in as Premier on April 30th, 2019, Kenney and his government have already cut Gay Straight Alliances in schools, taken $1,120 off of the paycheques of young workers, cut corporate tax rates ensuring that corporations are able to rake in $348 million in tax breaks in the first year of his mandate, and set up a government-funded "war room" to counter oil sands critics using $30 million in government funding.
